The LUD of Miami exists to accommodate urban growth with the opportunity for a higher level of service while remaining part of the larger rural municipality. Represented by a formal committee of council comprising of a councillor and 2 members elected at a general election.

LUD meetings take place once a month. LUD may cover topics such as town lighting, sidewalks, beautification, events, long term projects and so much more.
